Austria-based Filipina artist, Razel Gonzales, was born in a small fishing village in the southern part of the Philippines. Razel is the 6^th of eight children of poor parents whose occupation was centered on fishing. Razel Gonzales has lived
as an artist in Africa, Asia and Europe. She is based in Tyrol, Austria.

Her parents noticed her artistic inclination at the age of five, when she spent her spare time at the beach drawing footprints in the sand while other friends took a nap or played.

Razel´s paintings have been exhibited in the United States, France, Italy, Australia, Germany, Denmark, Austria and Japan. Some of her exhibitions have been shown at the UNO City in Vienna, Philippine Art Center in New York, Philippine Embassy in Berlin and Tokyo Metropolitan Museum in Japan. She received various awards such as the All Nation Festival Award in Berlin as well as good reviews from art critics in Manila and New York. Her works of art have been journalized and covered by print and television medias.
